My Place Ministries - Friday Nights Out!

We all need a place to belong. My Place Ministries began in the imagination of one mother and has become a collaboration of friends, families and community partnerships. Thanks to Eastdale Secondary School for providing a place for Friday Nights Out to belong, and to the Hope Center and United Way for providing transportation.

At My Place Ministries, we place a strong emphasis on teaching children skills that will better their lives and brighten their futures. We challenge children to dream, dance and live LIFE: Love Inspired Faith Everyday. My Place is a place where hope shines and lives change. My Place is a place where children and families can belong.

At My Place Ministries children are empowered to become champions in life through the development of life skills and moral values.   My Place Ministries offers a variety of services to children and families through our Friday Nights Out program located at Eastdale Secondary School in Welland.? Friday Nights Out is an awesome activity based, weekly program designedfor children ages 6-12.? Youth 13 years and over may continue in the program and become mentors.? For the month of May, we are selling handcrafted suncatchers, designed by local artist Kim Brown and created by the children in our program.? *Please note all volunteers have successfully completed police background checks and have training in CPR/First Aid.

Friday Nights Out is currently located at Eastdale Secondary School in Welland.  Our program serves 20 to 30 children weekly with the potential to support and serve many more families.
